2015 Giro D' Vino

Just checked in with the web site to see what was up and saw a few changes. First is, it is not on the 1st with daylight savings time. The ride is on the 8th this year. And second is they are reversing the route. We never get past Michael David (for numerous reasons) but I always felt this would be a good idea. My palate is trashed by Michael David anyway, so all post MD wines pretty much run together. Plus that means the nasty headwind before lunch will be a post lunch tailwind (the soup at D'Art is better than lunch anyhow) so we may make the finish this year. The headwinds will be there but not on that total exposed straight road. Anyway sad to to think November is coming, but the GDV is always a great time.

Tricia and I will be riding this again. It's a wonderful event, and a very different sort of ride than any of the others we do.
If you are considering this but wonder what it's like, here's a canned search that returns all my blog posts on the years we've done this ride.

Tricia and I are IN! All signed up and paid. We LOVE this ride, even though we end up spending too much on wine, what the heck...
