Walnut Creek H/Marathon Road Closures

FYI - Ygnacio and Treat will traffic control/partially close from 5 am to somewhere around 10 am for the run, 12/10.

In other words, riding anywhere around WC/North Gate & up toward Clayton area Saturday morning will be messy.

I encountered this last year... the inconvenience is minor. Cops with stop signs control the traffic, they don't let cars on some of the streets but I didn't see any where they didn't allow bikes.

It wasn't as organized as you might want, but it was safe.

Thanks for the tip. Was planning a Jx loop, maybe I'll just go up and back SG.

Edit: actually the route doesn't touch the portion of YVR I need to access, from Homestead. Looks like it's a non-factor for most cycling routes coming from the west or south.

BTW, love how the cop isn't even looking at the oncoming cars.
