I know! I was supposed to play golf tomorrow morning and hopefully get a ride in on the weekend. My @ss is kinda getting tired of being on the trainer.

I just picked up some SKS Race Blades fenders. If Sunday is like today, we're still on

Man, I gotta give it to you guys (AV) today. I was out & around Canada etc and saw AV jersery after AV jersey. One guy in a mostly AV group even caught me with my tounge on the floor gawking at some joggers as I unloaded on 92. Weird weather, it rained but overall it was hot if anything.

Yeah it rained Saturay, but it was warm so wasn't all that bad. I love my new fenders. Kind of PITA to put on, but keep my feet from getting soaking wet.

heh, I actually did end up scuba-ing up on Sunday. fenders, overshoes, jacket the whole 9 yards. All that, and it didn't even rain on me.
I was supposed to meet up with 'nother for his birthday ride, but I overslept and missed the rendezvous by about 30 minutes (oops). I did go putz around Portola Valley for a couple of hours though, and man it was great weather to be out on a bike.

Yeah we had a few sprinkles in the morning but overall it turned out to be a great day. We ended up going up Kings then back down. The roads were all pretty wet still and we were pretty cautious coming back down Kings.

I guess I missed you, Laura, and Mike. I was up at the top of Kings with Deborah and Sue. Paul rode up and said the three of you joined the ride but didn't know how long you'd be. The three of us took Skyline to Skylonda, descended the east side and went back via Portola Valley. Turned out to be a great day. It actually felt warm by the time we came off the mountain.

It was nice & dry riding up Sierra Road on Sunday. I took my heavy touring bike with fenders, which is probably why it didn't rain ...
I was slow as a slug but it was my first time all the way up it, so I was a happy camper.
It was beautiful up there ! I hope it's as nice next Wednesday.

The rest of us were ready for a little fiesta so we made our way back down to Santa Clara and hit El Amigo Burrito for burritos, margaritas, and a birthday flan

When I come up to the Bay Area I like to ride Mt. Diablo. I didn't bring my bike with today because I knew it was going to rain so I did my ride before I left. If I was going to ride it would have been in the afternoon, I'm sure glad I didn't bring my bike. It opened up and poured about the time I would have been coming back. I would have hated to come down off of Mt. Diablo in the pouring rain.
'nother, you're right the Race Blades are nice. I did the Butterfield Double 2 years ago in the rain and was soaked then I got done. The worst thing about the ride was all the fine grit that went through my bibs and acted like sandpaper on my rear. The Race Blades stopped that and make riding in the rain much more comfortable.
