I realize I'm a maybe so I might not get a vote in this, but the 9AM start that you posted before was what made it a possibility, the 8AM start is too early since I have to drive down from Oakland

Realizing that some folks are coming from east bay, let's have the ride start at 9 am.

see ya there, or be square ... and don't forget, if you need a boost, Peet's is in the same shopping area. I'll probably hang out there first, then meet everyone in the parking lot.

thanks for starting at 9. It'd take me a bit to get there by bike. Maybe I should look into VTA or something. But 9 sounds good.

Hello everyone!

I'm in for the ride, and I'll probably bring a friend (if he decides to get off his butt). So, this is a no-drop ride, right? Since I've not taken this route before, and the ride profile looks challenging, any advice for a successful completion?

Only thing I can suggest is to ride at your own pace up the hill. Don't try to go at someone else's pace. We will re-group at the top of the climbs.

I'll join you all at the regroup on Pierce. Around 9:30-9:45? (So I'll need to get started about 2 and half hours before that.)

I know this is going to sound a bit odd, but does anyone want to volunteer to be a SAG for the ride?

Just wondering ...

Will bringing a set of bungie cords suffice?

Or maybe we need to start thinking about separating an A group and B group ride. I'll lead the C group.

Well, sharing cell phone #s might be a good idea, just in case someone gets stuck somewhere.

Oh, reminder for everyone coming from the East Bay, don't forget the Bay Bridge will be closed next weekend.

Hey Ron you might have a good idea. I've been stressing with this bad virus and lung infection, I'm thinking I might not have the energy by labor day, and It would still be fun to hang out, might bring my wife and have a rack for 2 bikes,, I'm going to try and get out tomorrow, but I have my doubts. I'll let you guys know.

Sorry to hear about that, Pete. Well, if you don't mind SAG'ing for us, I'll appreciate it greatly. You can also take pics of us on the road.

I think it would be fun. Maybe I can get the Miss's to cook up her oatmeal, flaxseed, blueberry cookies, right out of Chris Carmichael's training book. Also the team car thing might be good for my resume, I hear Johann Bruyneel's assembling a team for next year, I'll give him a ring.
