Yeah! I love it too. What local retailer did you choose? How was the experience? Just curious.

Starting tomorrow Mike's Bikes has the Tarmac S-Works SL for $4299. It's still too much money even if I sell the Roval Fusee Stars... That price makes it almost irresistable though. Must...Remain...Strong.

I got it from Mike's Bikes in Sacramento. They have their super sale this week so the bike was marked way down .

The experience was awesome, as always. I bought an Allez from the Mike's store in 2006, which was an awesome experience. I was completely new to road biking at the time, so they took the time to walk me through all the stuff I needed to know. Great price, super helpful, etc, which is why I keep going back.

Since then I've gotten to know most of the staff at the Sac store; I ride regularly with one of the sales people and race with the mechanics and sales staff that come out to Prairie City. Great store . If you go to Sacramento, you can't go wrong with any of them, but Allie is the one who sold me my Tarmac.

Just brought home my first road bike about two weeks ago... My test rides on a 4.5 and 5.2 sealed the deal -- first times I had ever ridden carbon and I still cannot believe how smooth it is.

So far I've only got about 150 miles under my belt, but that includes a nice brisk 45 mile loop on sunday, 22 miles trying to explore a potential bike route monday, and ascents of both Hamilton and Page Mill.

That's a nice looking Trek. How much adjustment range is there in the integrated seatpost?

Not sure exactly. Not a ton, maybe 3ish inches? Since the seat mast goes over the frame, it'll only go down as far as the mast has space for, which you can clearly see. What's not as obvious from the picture is what the minimum insertion is.

I got tired of cleaning white bar tape, so I replaced it with a suede textured tape, and replaced the white toupe with a black avatar saddle.

Sweet looking Tarmac there - looks a bit like my Roubaix....how do you post a "bigger image"? Whenever I attach a picture it shows up as an annoying thumbnail.

Find a site to host your pictures (such as photobucket.com), upload them there, copy the image location, then in your post in BF, click on the "Insert Image" button (looks like a mountain on a yellow square) and paste in the link.

Naw. I've had it since 2004. I was lucky and snagged it at the beginning of a new season at my LBS so it was the last one left. Probably because it was a small frame size. Thanks. I just wish I had time to take better care of it. See that dirty ars chain?

It's a nice looking R600 (I really like black bikes). But is the frame a little large for you? I'm asking because I don't see the seatpost so low on road bikes very often.

Yeah, my buddies make fun too. It fits cuz I have Short stubby legs and a long torso. Kinda gorrilla like, just not as mean or as hairy.
