It may be initially off-putting because I'm 36, but I'm available for adoption. I'll learn to like fishing and do just about any father-son stuff as long as you build me bikes. That Ciocc looks like a good fit for me.

I've seen that Ciocc recently, though I don't recall where. It's lovely, though.

Please, whatever you do, don't find one of those beautiful Italian bikes in a ~60cm. I'm afraid the temptation may just kill me!

Uh, let me know if you need someone to take in a spare 48 cm Battaglin.

You might not be surprised to learn you're about #10 in the Battaglin line.

Probably on the C&V list, there's a whole thread on it over there. I don't have any Italian frames in 60cm, but I have a pretty cool ~62cm Gitane framesetthat I'll let go cheap. Columbus tubing, standard BB and chrome fork, too!

Sorry, one dependent is enough. But if you have all the bits and need help building a bike, "will work for food" - meaning come on over, we'll put it together, and you can buy me lunch. I like building bikes - it's a disease that has no cure.

Now, if you have access to land where I can hunt feral hogs, we can revisit the whole "adoption" thing......

I fear the standover on a 62cm might be getting into the "too big" category. Plus, a French frame might not be quite as outspoken in forcing me to start hoarding C-Record bits. Then again, who knows?

Thanks. It's fun shooting at f1.2 but it can also be frustrating.

A big thank you to Norman for all his assistance in helping me swap out the compact for the triple. It will be hard to ever go back. One 30 mile ride and I'm totally spoiled by that 42 ring. 2006 Record 53/42/30 170mm cranks, 2006 Record Bottom Bracket, 2008 Comp (Centaur level) Triple long cage rear and front. Q Factor is wider but not an issue. Dang the Record stuff is smooooth.

Geez. I picked up an f/1.8 lens not too long ago, and it's hard to get things focused correctly with that.

Looks great. Though with the nice logo-free frame, you need to attack those rims with some adhesive remover and a hairdryer to get it all matchy.

I need to start collecting parts for my own triple conversion. Lots of NOS 2006 Ultegra triples on eBay for nothing.

Nice job Bostic - you must have one heck of a versatile bike now. What cassette are you running there?

Thanks. It's not a cheap DSLR: Canon 5D with a 85 f1.2 lens.

It's a 12-26 cassette matched up with the 53/42/30 front. The weight weenie in me got out the scale and the bike is .58 lbs heavier after the conversion. The Campagnolo Record bottom bracket is beyond smooooth though. It's pure silk to pedal compared to the new external outboard bearings on my Chorus UT cranks. Not that the new design is awful but it's definitely noticeable. I am still adjusting to the wider Q-Factor as I can feel it in the inner thighs. Marco and I both ordered a 23-26 cluster to replace the standard 23-25 that comes on the cassette.

I guess it's high time I published my steed (crap picture, but it's all I got for now). Stock '07 Roubaix comp, my one significant upgrade was my tires - the Roubaix Pro's were just too wide for me to be deflating/reinflating my front wheel every time I put them in the back fo my car and hoovered up any available crud from the road. PR3s seem much nicer now.

I fancy the Roubaix line myself but I'll have to wait a little while longer before I can spring for a new one. I have to ride this piece for a while longer. I'm reposting it since I got the pretty wheels, tires, cages and carbon tape since the last pic. I wish I knew a way (besides a Sharpie) to get rid of the blue on the frame.

I'm really enjoying the Roubaix, but you do have the RedSpoke! Maybe one day I can achieve that distinction....

Cantilevers, a mix of road and mountain components, and 32c tires. My bike has a more athletic, Italian relative!

Very nice! I like that front cable stop, too.

This forum really needs a "drool" emoticon thingie. I'd use it frequently. Nice ride BR. A CX bike is on my wish list, but I'm going to build one from the ground up methinks. Easier to slip under the Mrs. radar.
