Thanks blast. It's a tad big for me but it's fine. I'm more of a 51cm guy, this is a 53cm. But I love riding it.

Just finished my commuter conversion this past weekend. The weather here is great year round, how can you not ride your bike everywhere?

Here are my main rides (although I have a bunch that I won't bore you with).
My Fixed Gear:

The wife and I live in Almaden. I session flatland at Branham High and Leland... and my wife and I have a nice ride through Almaden, down Los Alamitos, Coleman, down and through Santa Teresa to Morgan Hill and back.

Here's the latest incarnation of my 89 Trek 660, currently set up as a cheapskate SSCX bike. Worked great in September on a dusty course but not so great in the sticky mud of November...

Very cool. I can see why mud wouldn't have much room to clear the seat tube and stays.

Yes, exactly. This is what they looked like after I cleaned them out. Had to pit on the 3d lap actually and beg the mechs for a screwdriver.
I think I'll be asking Santa for a San Jose or a Cross Check....

Yeah, that's an option I thought about. I could get a CX fork and see how much Steve Rex would charge me to braze on some canti bosses. (Probably more than I paid for the frame in the first place.

Here's my Univega with cantilever brakes bosses added by Bernie Mikkelsen. The paint was gone after he did the brazing and I considered having the frameset powdercoated but I just made do with my kids' acrylic paints and an old rattle can of clear Rustoleum.

I picked up a late 80's Tommasini frame this summer. The paint had a number of scratches and scrapes and the Italian flag green/red/white fade scheme was not doing it for me, so I had my son's housemate who runs an autobody shop throw some white pearl paint on it, which is now topped with some replica decals.
I finished up the build a week or so ago. Components are "mixed-breed" campy: Chorus levers, FD and pedals; Record hubs (with Mavic Open Pro wheels); Centaur compact crank, brake calipers and RD; and a classic fluted Record seatpost circa 1982. In deference to my creaky back and neck, I did commit some non-Italian blasphemy by putting on a Japanese (Nitto) long stem and some wide bars, but in my defense the finish on them is really nice.
The look is black and silver on white, so it's pretty understated, but after a few short shakedown rides the ride is sweet.

Here is the 2007 Jamis Eclipse build. Everything came off the Pedal Force RS except the front derailleur clamp on and the 2009 Veloce alloy levers. 17lbs. Will chop the fork in a month or so once I settle on the right amount of spacers. Rides like steel, climbs like carbon.
