Mt. Tam Hill Climb? Sept 15

Anyone riding the Mt. Tam Hill Climb in a couple weeks?

I'm signed up for the Diablo challenge ride and I love riding the sisters on Ridgecrest so figured I would do this one as well--i'll just be riding in the men's public division -- any thoughts from people who have rode this race in the past? would you recommend it? does the ride run pretty smoothily on that busy stretch of 1 between stinson and bofax?

Never done the race before, this will be my first time too. My teammate in the 55+ said last year some jackass crashed out his out whole group on the stretch of 1. He still got up and finished in just under 59 mins though. I hate that guy, he passes me on hills like has an extra lung.

either of you guys (or anyone else) up for spinning out to stinson beach tomorrow morning up over Panoramic (the earlier the better) and riding the route of the race? i'm starting in SF, but if you want to meet at stinson could of course do that as well (I could be there by 9).

I'm signed up to do Auburn Century instead (has a few hills, 11,000 feet climbing). But this doesn't mean I won't chicken out ...
