Hello!

I'm new to this NorCal forum, so I thought I'd say hello. I started bicycle commuting a couple months ago and just recently started riding on the weekend for fun.

I'll be riding tomorrow at 8am from Cupertino up Foothill/Junipero Serra and back. From the posts I've read here, I know that's not a *real* ride for most of you , so I'm almost embarrassed to post this. (My commute's only 6 flat miles, so I'm just easing into longer distances and hills, but not necessarily at the same time.) Anyway, I thought I'd mention it in case anybody is interested in a similar ride to start the day. I'd enjoy the company!

It's still a real ride. It depends on how far up on Foothill you go. Everyone has to start somewhere. What's important is to get out there and ride. Be safe out there.

Welcome! Hope you have a fun ride Sunday. 6 miles sounds like a good commute.
