Nostalgia Pictures ... Post em here

While we were at dinner last night, we were talking about how we looked in the past ... changing hair styles, geeky glasses, etc ... so l thought I'd post this thread. Post your old pics here, if you dare, so we all can have a laugh.

ah ha! all my old pictures are locked up in tin can and buried somewhere. You'll never find it. HAHAAHA. I'm almost glad I didn't grow up in the digital age, much harder to hide pictures.

Arrgh! That shirt! My Mom made them for the whole family. They look like the curtain material at a waffle house. And that signature crooked haircut by Dad. Woo! Good times! Good times indeed. I was riding my Royce Union with a banana seat during this era (about 1978).

Oh, OK, since we're all friends here ...

Me, about 6 years ago and about 25 pounds heavier.

I wasn't riding back then. Obviously.

I don't have access to older photos as my sister has them up in Reno. However it was typical 70's stuff. Horrible multi colored t-shirts, tough skins pants, etc.

This is from 1990. A hard rock 'hair metal' style band that used to rehearse in Belmont. I was 19.

This is 1992 I think. A thrash metal band that used to rehearse up in Cotati Rohnert Park area. If bangs were good enough for Slayer, Anthrax and Metallica, the style was good enough for me. Or so I thought.

Me in the middle, living the dream during my senior year of high school, 1974. This was taken at my sister's wedding, and those two were my dates. Yeah - two.

Well I broke out the scanner and dug out the old photos and yearbooks.
Kind of apropos as I listened to Dan Fogelberg tributes on YouTube.

have the story of my high school experience. ) I wish I had a role model like BigBossMan.

All these baby pics are sooooo cute!!!

Unfortunately, mine were lost during a move. A lot of our papers and such were in a large box (wasn't done packing it) and the movers thought it was garbage and got rid of it.

Didn't find this out till a couple of days later when the family was looking for it.

Henry, if I may ask, where'd you go to school (or where did you grow up)? I ask because I have pics that have sort of the same look and feel about them, and I'm wondering if it's a regional thing?

*Edit: nevermind, BR, I found an ancient thread about where we all grew up.

Yeah! I can relate. My sister's friend was a little less than 2 years older. I remember the weekend of my sister's wedding (she was a bridesmaid). I slow danced with her and that's the last time I ever saw her. I played the 12" single of the Smiths "How Soon is Now" at least 100x that weekend. It took me YEARS to get over her. To this day, I think of Cheryl every time I hear that song. Funny. Happily married now thank goodness.
