Marin Bike Rental in San Francisco - AWESOME

Earlier this week I rented a great bike from Blazing Saddles in San Francisco and fell in love with the bike. To make a long story short, I'd like to figure out exactly what model I was on, and order one from Marin. It was a Marin, 18.5 inch, and on the frame "CFS.01.1" It was 24 speeds, had a front shock, and disc brakes. Obviously I went straight to the marin website but couldn't find what I was looking for. If someone lives near 1095 Columbus, the bikes for sale are outside, but I'm not in the market for one of their used/abused bikes, I'd like a new one.

Heres a picture of what I rented.

Please help! I live in NYC so I can't get back to check it out a little better.

Good point - I posted when they were closed so I thought... anyway. So I called them and they told me what I rented was a 2007 San Anselmo. But looking online I don't see disc brakes with the 2007 San Anselmo. Will Marin make bikes to order?

IF Marin won't I'm sure a good shop will be able to accomodate you.

Good luck!!

Generally how much would a disc brake upgrade be? I've seen a wide range of prices. I wonder if it would be more economical to get it done right when I purchase it.

The brakes themselves can be had for $60 front and rear. The expensive part is if the wheels aren't disc ready, you'd need new ones.

According to Marin's website, the San Anselmo (or any other bike from their city line) was NOT available in 18.5" in 2007, 2006, or 2005...

Their comfort line came in 18.5" in 2007:

Hmm! Thanks for pointing that out! It was an 18.5 for sure. I wonder if it's the comfort or the urban? I'll have to do some checking on this.

None have disc brakes. I wonder if I'm working myself up for something I don't need what so ever. I also question how much comfort a hardtail would give me over no suspension at all.
