East Hill is coming to your neighbourhood soon!

Hi all you Northern California folks!

Yes, I have managed to snag a registration for the Cinderella Classic, thanks to the careful guidance of bigbossman .

The plans currently call for me to start heading down to the Bay Area on Monday morning, March 31st. There's probably going to be a halfway stop somewhere in Oregon Monday evening (I will have left from work, so I'll be tired), and arriving in San Jose on April 1 (how's that for timing ?

I'll be visiting me mum for at least one or two days when I first arrive (because she would kill me if she ever found out I'd come all the way down without stopping to see her and the rest of my siblings).

The Cinderella Classic is on Saturday, April 5th.

That means I have quite a few days to do meeting and greeting with the local BF members who are up to the challenge of putting up with me . My planned departure would be Tuesday morning, April 8th.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look as if Mr. East Hill can come with me, as he could not arrange for time off work .

If anyone's got some good suggestions for places/times where other members could gather and say hi, and have a bit of fun, let's hear it!

I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you .

East Hill

Wow, I thought you lived around here. A meet n' greet would be fun. I'm doing the Party Pardee 100K instead of the Cinderella but could stop in the East Bay on the way back.

I'm heading up your way for the 1-day STP in July. Looking forward to some Seattle MTB action again too.

I'm very familiar with the Bay Area because I grew up there (border of Los Gatos/SJ in the Blossom Hill area), and all the relatives who aren't in England live in SJ, Los Altos, and Modesto.

Sounds like fun!

I'm leaving that weekend on a business trip unfortunately but if there's any chance before I leave it would be great to meet in person.

Oh, I forgot to mention that, didn't I?

It will be the much discussed, much fussed over, gorgous green Richard Sachs .

It's not looking good at this point, but you never know. Mr. East Hill likes to visit his mother once a year whether she needs it or not.

We've been switching our hours and days off lately. The new hours are just horrible, to the point where I'm thinking about retiring, actually.

Mr. East Hill is trying to get a job on day shift, and if he's successful, I will try to do the same. I just loathe the 8.05 pm start.

BUMP - just to remind everyone that East Hill is coming next week. I'll start a poll with some options for dinner with her.
