Memorial update: There will be at 5pm

There will be a memorial ride for our fellow cyclists today at the Polo Fields Golden Gate Park 5 PM. I've contacted the police and they are sympathetic and behind us all a 100%. So if you can let's get together and honor the now 2 cyclists who have lost their lives and also to support the cyclist who was injured and her dog killed by a hit in run driver last night.

I can't make it, but I will be thinking of the fallen cyclists. Thank you for honoring their memories.

I also won't be able to make it - is there any word about a memorial fund or favorite charity in lieu of flowers?

Thanks Henry I zoned on that, I fixed it. I've been busy calling bike shops and news agencys. It was great that the cop I talked to was really very cool and supporting. This will be a really beautiful thing. It should be about raising awarness that we all need to watch each others backs and "Share The Road" hope you can make it brother.

too early I think but there will probably be something. I started this on a whim so I haven't been in contact with anyone involved or family. I did contact Roaring Mouse and let them know. I would start there for info. I plan on cruising over around 6 or 7 and leaving flowers and a card.

I won't be able to make it. Got out of the office too late. Thanks for organizing this. I'm there in spirit.

Thanks for putting that ride together pete, I am most certainly there in spirit. With a little advance notice I can make it to just about anything, but I didn't see this until just now. Hope to hear about a solid turn out.

Did I miss something about the "dog" also? man, what a downright lousy start to the season.
