Tierra Bella Century- Roll Call?

Hello... anyone here riding the Tierra Bella Century/Metric in 2 weeks? Why isn't anyone bringing this ride up? Did I sign up for the wrong one? What gives???

x136 04-05-08 10:23 PM

Ya gotta post about these things before registration is closed. :)

Regardless, I have a prior engagement that weekend. Sounds like a nice ride, though. I dig the art-deco jersey design.

SesameCrunch 04-05-08 10:30 PM

I'm in. So is Taxi777.

We need more!!!

Tierra Bella is always one of the most popular early-season centuries in the bay area. The routes are pretty easy, the rest stop food is good, and the scenery is pleasant (except in the busier sections through San Jose). The main problem is the early season weather, which is often cold or windy and sometimes wet. Also, the routes don't change much from year to year.

Personally, I prefer the Primavera Century in Fremont, which has more interesting scenery and it the same weekend this year. That route doesn't change much either.

I'm signed up for the 100K route and I'd love to meet up with people at the start. I'd like to carpool too if anyone's headed down from SJ.

Ty.S 04-06-08 03:24 PM

I'm in on the 100k.

Although if it clouds up like last year, I may just consider my entry fee a "donation" to the ACTC and stay home. Hoping that this year will be a nice normal TB.

Hey Asia, just do what you did last year ... blend in. Hopefully it won't be pouring like it was last year. You going to do Sea Otter too?

I hope you make it

Hey Asia!!! Join us. You'll love the group. And we'll take good care of ya ;)!

Hopefully, there'll be no rain-out this year :o...

uspspro 04-07-08 02:01 PM

Damn.

I didn't even know about this. too late now.

Maybe I'll blend in with the group, and just not go to any of the rest/food stops. Do a self-supported century on a route that just happens to have an organized century going on ;)

nygirl777 04-07-08 02:11 PM

Hey let me know if anyone wants a registration. I am signed up for the 200k but thinking about doing a 110 mile loop this weekend that includes Hamilton and Sierra road. If I do that I probably won't want to be gone all day next Saturday too.

Aaron

Hey Aaron you should really do that 110 mile loop this weekend and skip the Tierra Bella completely :D

I would hate for Taxi777 and SesameCrunch to have to do this fabulous ride w/o me :p eventhough Alan ditched me last year
