Newbie needing small frame

Hello! I'm a newbie and I'm trying to get started on a road bike. I just got fitted and I need a frame between 42-45cm. I know that's pretty small. Do any of you here in the bay area know of anyone selling a small frame or bike, or maybe any particular shop I can call. If I find a frame I will have one of my friends help me build it. I live in San Jose, but can pick it up anywhere in the bay area. I want to get a single speed if that helps any. Thanks a lot guys.

That's pretty small. If you want it proportioned like a road bike, and you don't want your handlebars higher than the seat, you won't find that if it uses 700c wheels.

What kind of budget are you talking about? It wouldn't be cheap, but Calfee (www.calfeedesign.com) has both stock and custom frames, and could build a frame up to fit you and could do it with smaller (650c) wheels so that it could be traditional geometry despite the small size.

You guys are amazing guys. I will check all of those out. Tomorrow I'm getting fitted for the 2nd time just to make sure. My budget is up to $800. I don't want to spend that much. I'm a broke college student, but if I really have to then I will. Your suggestions are really appreciated.
