There was a funny article in the NY Times about how the cyclists will basically be the first outdoor endurance event, and will effectively be the canaries in the coal mine for the other endurance athletes with regards to air quality!

That's a fitting metaphor, sir, because their lungs will look like they just came out of the coal mine when they are done. I tried running in Beijing this spring, it felt like I had acid in my lungs after 1km

Levi and George should head down to Mariposa County to get their lungs into shape before going to Beijing!

The times in that schedule are kind of wacky. Most of the events are 12 hours long? I don't think so. If you try to tape these, you will have lots and lots of wasted tape.

No Doy!

If you look at the link provided you will get a true schedule. The lame peeps at NBC can't tell you exactly when cycling will be, so you have to stay tuned....

Its the X-games generation. XG 14 is on right now, and the networks are trying to sell the Olympic idea to the younger generation.

Seriously.. This is the same as snowboard half pipe in the winter olympics. Trying to get the youngsters interested.

Man, I clicked on the link in the OP to find the exact schedule, but the Wikipedia page is already updated with results from the men's road race. Still want to watch it though; anybody know when in the day it will be on?

Also: DON'T CLICK THROUGH TO WIKIPEDIA IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS!

And yeah, astounding ceremonies last night. Very impressed.
