Best Wheel Builder in SF Bay area?

I'm in the market for a new wheel set and I'm curious if anyone can recommend a good wheel builder in SF or the Oakland/Berkeley area?

Thanks in advance!

I had a nice set of wheels built by Neil of Cyclemonkey. He's in Oakland.White Industries H2 hubs, Sapim spokes, and Velocity Fusion rims. 300+ miles on them now and no need to re-tension. And I'm a big guy.

Josh at Tip Top Bike Shop in Oakland does some damn fine work. He backs his wheels with a pretty comprehensive lifetime guarantee too. He's relatively new in town but he's been doing a lot of work in the Berkeley/Oakland area.

I second this endorsement. He is fair priced, honest and builds great wheels. Has even tension on all spokes. Uses a special gauge. He will be gone for most of september with trade shows and vacation.

Worth the wait

He replaced my wheelset spoke nipples a few weeks ago and they were more than helpful

Funny - Josh at Tip Top is the guy that built up my bike. Didn't know he built wheels though. I'll go there...

I had Neil at Cycle Monkey build a wireless powertap for me. He is located in Oakland 510-868-1777.

Good luck!!
