What's going on Sunday?

Anyone got something planned? If not, I guess I'll just do my typical Montebello climb. Hopefully, the temps will cool down by the weekend. Gee, sounds exactly like what we were saying 1 week ago.

It might be a bit slow for you, and no climbing, but the Recumbents of the East Bay will be riding on Sunday around the Alameda area. It starts in the parking lot by the tennis courts at Washington Park, or maybe the tennis courts are part of the State Beach. It's at 8th and Portola. Starts at 9:00 AM. Last time we went through the base(lots of memories for me), and went along the Oakland Channel, working our way out toward the airport, on the trails back toward Alameda coming out across I-80 from a Raiders pre-game, then back through beautiful houses in old Alameda.

If I can figure out how to transport my Vision recumbent in my car, I might join you. The problem is my Vision has a really long wheel base. We'll see.

Here are the details. I'd leave later but I think the heat and traffic may be factors.

Come ride wine country and walnut orchards with us. There will be food involved.

Ron, what time are you thinking of Montebello? I'd love to ride on Sunday, but it probably won't be until the early to mid-afternoon.

I am doing flatish 3h zone 1 (most books would rate it as lower z2/upper z1) ride from South San Jose. Would love some company... Ipod is nice, but I feel like a hermit. Plus I am leaving on the 21st, and with racing next weekend this is the last chance for a casual ride in NorCal.

Looks like I won't be riding till maybe early afternoon. Ran out of patches, and so I'll have to wait for the bike shop to open. Looks like another Performance run this morning.

Took a short 12 mile spin ... I had no energy in my legs at all. Yesterday's ride really took a lot out of me.

Nope ... was just a short skip over to Los Altos on Homestead, then back to Santa Clara. Canada would have been at least an enjoyable ride ... this was boring.
