up-n-over montebello to page mill Fri Sep 19

Hey, last week was so much fun I'm ready to go up montebello and over the top to page mill again, this time with fatter tires. Ideally I'd like to meet up at the Montebello Rd/Stevens Canyon Rd base at 8AM but if someone definitely wants to go but can't make that time, let's talk.

As a reminder...here's what this ride is about:

I'd like to do it. I'll see if my wife can take the kids to school.
How long does the ride take?

Ha. That sounds like a nice ride. Since I live in Mountain View, I ride up page mill to monte bello (to skyline)... then I vary the ride.. this weekend I want to try to ride to highway 1 (via pescadero) and back..

I'd love to do this ride sometime, but weekdays are just too hard logistically. Bummer.

I'll have to think creatively on how to do it...not this week, but maybe next or next time.

BR it's about 40-45 minutes to the top, another 30-60 mins (depending on walking vs riding) across the fire roads then a 7-mile descent down page mill. My total ride time last week was 3 hrs , including 12 miles to the start from my house and finishing at work in Palo Alto.

chickenmonkey email me and let's work something out for next week -- maybe an extend-o-lunch ride from the page mill side would work out better?

Road to the top, dirt across, and road down the other side? That sounds like fun. I'll have to give that a shot someday.

Sorry, I can't make it this week but would definitely be up for that at some point in the vague future

I didn't even make it to my own ride. With no confirmed partners and too late of a night I didn't even wake up until 9. Maybe next week...?

I'll be up in SF all night tonight, unlikely to make an early ride tomorrow. Sat Afternoon or Sunday AM would be ok. Now that it's not so hot you don't need to get a 7AM start to avoid heat death!
