cant post under for sale section

wtf?

i get this when i try to post there:

I think an acceptable free alternative (mods can correct me if I'm wrong) is to put a link to a Craigslist posting in your signature, as long as you don't abuse it by spamming threads.

Yeah, you can use links to Craigslist ads or eBay auctions, or just put a note like "I have a blah-di-blah for sale, PM me for information."

I had the same experience and was about to pay the $25 until I realized I could just put my ad in my sig- see my sig.

Then there's Craigslist which is good if you live in an area rich with cyclists, e.g. the Silicon Valley. I've sold two bikes, a headlight and other odds and ends this way.

Ebay gives you the biggest audience, certainly bigger than just bikeforums.net.
