Those look like good deals -- I'm always mindful of what "previously marked down merchandise" means though. Anyone been to a PI outlet lately to provide an opinion? I could be in the market for another wind vest after I lost mine yesterday.

Did you check the Starbucks store where we stopped in Orinda? Sounds to me to be the perfect spot to lose the vest.

If you wear size medium, they often have their demo clothing on sale (in this size only) where goods deals are often found.

The clothing at regular price is as expensive as online but you get the advantage of a large selection (with stuff you can try on).

I visited the Lake Tahoe PI store over the summer. The store is small and the selection is extremely limited. Some of the prices were good (like half of retail). Unless you're going to be in the neighborhood anyway, I wouldn't make a special trip. You can find cheap PI stuff more easily at various on-line clearance sites like rei-outlet.com

I think I'll skip the long trek to Gilroy and do my (limited) holiday shopping online.

Beaker,
Chainlove has been advertising a PI vest for $20.00 lately...

Previously marked down merchandise means whatever the sale price is you take an additional 20%-40% off it whatever the case may be. I picked up a Channel jacket through this sale last year. The jacket was $199.99 and I bought it for $49.99 before taxes. :thumb:

This is a great way to pick up PI's for Performance prices.:D

Yeah, did that this morning on my coffee run - no joy.

I'll keep an eye out on chainlove, but might head up to vacaville for a look. Thanks guys.

It's the same deal they use for their coupons. Generally, you won't find current run items marked down, though the price may be slightly below full retail. Only the traditional outlet items i.e. blems, older style, demos, etc. would be marked down and get a further discount.
