New Years Day Ride!

Ok, so the weather forecast right now looks really good. Upper 50's and sunny. So I'm gonna go for a ride. Anyone want to join in? More details to come, but it'll likely start here in Rancho or towards Folsom. Maybe the Fish Hatchery.

Or join us in Santa Rosa at 10:00 AM at Coffey Park in NW Santa Rosa. Three levels of rides, ending in picnic.

Anyone? Likely 60 to 65 miles. Not too much climbing.

We're likely to stay close to home, maybe do a Lake Loop, since some of the folks with whom we're riding are paying for child care.

Hope you get some takers!

I've almost convinced myself to do Diablo. It's a tradition that i haven't taken part in.
Right now it's foggy and cold here, so I may have to really work on my head to get myself out the door.

I'm heading up Diablo out of Berkeley tomorrow. 85 miles or so with a slight hint of a hangover. Drink lots of water tonight!!!!!

Glad to hear about the weather though. I've never been up Diablo in a reasonable temperature. It's always been 85 or so.

In Vacaville, roughly town center by the library.

Thanks Cg. Do you mind if I jump in and join the ride?

I had to drive N on 680 today into the "fog belt" - it was like another world compared to where I live closer to the bay. Weather on Diablo looked great after you got above the mist (looked fairly low lying). Let us know how it goes guys.

Edit: sorry for the slight threadjack, Joel

By all means! Anyone else who wants to join in, just show up and be ready to roll. It'll be a good time!

What?! With that new cassette, you're still slow? J/K

We'll be on the tandem, giving new meaning to the term "crawls up hills."

Looking forward to good company and a good ride!
