Report: Fastest Ride Yet!
Since I had no takers on today's ride (I know, I'm too far away from the Bay area ), I decided instead to ride with the Sacramento Wheelmen. Those guys are strong. This was easily my fastest ride yet.
54 miles, just over 3000 feet climbing, avg of 16.9, max speed of 47.7. Wow! I'm really thrilled I was able to hang on and not get dropped. Though I was suffering the last 20 miles. I was also able to eat a Clif bar while riding in the paceline. That was a big thing.
The weather was great. Hope everyone else had as much fun today as I did!

That's great Joel. It's a lot of fun to ride with a faster group than you used to be able to.

Nice work Joel! I got my first taste of group riding last week on the infamous River Ride. I was sore for a couple days, but I had a blast!

Good for you!
I'll bet you'll smoke us next time you ride a Winters Loop. We need a new rabbit.

Hey Joel, were you riding on Auburn-Folsom on Thursday at about 11:30? I was driving by, saw some cyclists on the road, and at the last second, it was, "Heeeey, was that...?"
Congrats on the ride, too. I stop if I ever need/want to eat, and still think I'm going to cause a wreck.

Joel, when we ride the next time, I'll bring my bungee cord and attach it to your seat.

Dude, that is smoking fast! I have only averaged that fast one time in my life (and it was also a group ride). It is nice to be challenged.

Good going Joel. I told you the Wheelmen would be your speed... I ride with them all the time. They've made me a much better rider. You also might want to check out Team Revolutions since most of their rides are Folsom/EDH. Then you'll always have someone to ride with. Revolutions kit is Sa-Weeeet too!
