Forwarding this message from my friend at Specialized:

Hi everyone!

I'd like to invite you all to this event that I'm coordinating. Please
pass it along to anyone and everyone you know!

Thanks!

Join the Specialized Advocacy Fund and Foster Calm - First Aid and
Leadership Trainings <https://www.fostercalm.com/> for an innovative
Wilderness First Aid training. This 16-hour training is designed to
prepare you to confidently and effectively respond to injuries and
illness that can occur out on the trails. The training will focus on
staying calm, making good decisions, and relevant hands-on practice.
Upon successful completion, each participant will receive a Wilderness
First Aid (WFA) Certification valid for 3 years.

Topics covered

* Managing an accident scene out on the trail

* Patient assessment

* Shock & bleeding

* Head & spinal injuries

* Wound care

* Musculoskeletal injuries

* Heat and cold illnesses

* And much more

Cost is still pending. ~$100.

Encourage your family and loved ones to participate, too! The life they
help save might be yours...

There are 5 possible weekends that I/Specialized can host (and 2 that I
cannot but you or someone you know could :>)

I have created a wiki to track interest. Please visit
https://wfa-certification-possibilities.wikispaces.com/ and fill in your
name/email address appropriately.

If you've never used a wiki, please watch the following YouTube before
using it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dnL00TdmLY

PLEASE USE THE WIKI BY 4PM PST FRIDAY 30 JAN 2009. I need to confirm
with Foster Calm which weekends we want to book.

Once I have confirmed weekends with Foster Calm, I will send out another
email with further details on payment and confirming your registration.

That looks very useful. Does it include CPR training and certification?

Currently, it does not include CPR training, but Michelle is going to ask if they can teach CPR on a Saturday night for an additional fee.

Schedule is:

Sat

8-5 WFA

(6-9 CPR) possibly

Sun
