Good bike shops in Monterey?
I'm planning a trip in Calif. in the spring, and will either be flying from east coast with my bike, or FedExing bike to a store -- will be looking for a store to do some assembly on bike and maybe do a quick adjustment to brakes/derailleurs.
Primary objective is honesty and quality work, has to be within 24 hrs, preferably a few hours.
Any suggestions?

I really think a lot of the people at Joslyn's in Pacific Grove. Small shop, experienced personnel and they're not pushy. However, Monterey has several excellent shops. I think you're likely to have a good experience wherever you go.

+1 for Joselyn's (they're actually in Monterey). Also check out Winning Wheels in Pacific Grove. Both are top notch shops.
