They increased the minimum bicycle capacity from 16 bikes/train to 24 bikes/train. I hope it doesn't stop there. Wasn't the SFBC asking for 80 bikes on every train?

Excellent news!

A step in the right direction.

I was so sorry I couldn't make it.

24 per car in the new style cars, with an attempt to have 2 cars on the high demand routes

40 per car on the old style cars... when those have 2 cars, there is 80 spots.

going from

old choices --> 16,32,32 or 64
- to -
new choices --> 24,40,48 or 80

I think that's pretty good progress.

I think there is some progress, but they did not commit to have 2 bike cars during commute hours and didn't seem to say anything about how hard they would try to do this. Personally, I think increasing the minimum capacity is far more important than increasing the average capacity.
