Whad'ya do with the extra light today?

This is the first work day for the M-F set that had extra light after work.
I took the opportunity to climb Eagle Peak in Clayton during a hilly 25 miles.
Where did you spend the extra hour?

Well, today was my day off. But I had to go anyway to finish up something important . I got out at noon and went for 12 repeats at Cantelow. 6000' of climbing in 42 miles. I'm not one for repeats normally, but I need hills!

Amazing views of the Sierras today

I went out to Bay Front park and tied my camera to a kite string and lofted it a hundred feet up to take some aerial shots. Then the string broke. I recovered the kite but not the camera

Twelve?! You're a madman! I'm planning on 4 today and that seems like a lot. Now I feel like a slacker. Thanks, Ryan. *grumbles and resigns self to extra A/T work*

I got an early 15 mile ride in, then kept my appointment w/ the gym for an hours worth of upper body core workout. Walked out as the sun was setting.

Woo hoo. Let the late afternoon rides begin.

8 of them were on the short side, so time went by a little quicker - plus I cheated and drove there.

I had to let a little aggression out. It's been a busy few months at work.

Now I don't feel quite so bad, since it's 7 miles from my house to the top, taking the east side. It's my warm up.

Doing the Dremel Thing on an aluminum BB shim. I was wearing glasses, too - but not full wrap-around safety glasses.

The funny thing was that I didn't immediately realize it. I did the grinding on Friday night, and woke up Saturday with a nagging irritation in my right eye. Rode Saturday, rode Sunday, and the irritation never went away. By Monday it was a (minor) dull ache, so I made the call and went in. The doc numbed the eyeball up, picked out the little fleck of debris, and I was good to go.

All better now.
