I'm trying to find a route from Antelope (Elverta Rd and Watt Ave) to UC Davis.
I was thinking I could ride all the way down Watt (about 10 miles?)... hop on the American River Bike Trail to Downtown Sac... then down West Capitol Ave onto the causeway into Davis.
My main concern is riding down Watt Ave because of all the traffic, and I don't think there is a consistent bike lane (is there?). If someone can enlighten me with an easier or more cycling-friendly route, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!
go towards natomas on elkhorn, in rio linda turn left after the high school to get on the bike trail.
at the end of the bike trail leveee turn right, then take your immediate left. follow it to discovery park.
this is all part of the american river bike trail.
it should hook up to the causeway somewhere. not exactly sure though.
im still a road bike noob. my itb has been fucl<ing up my riding.
nice ride to roseville yesterday...dyer lane through small trail to fountains, then trail past UA and back through old roseville and the train tracks. past north highlands library and back through elverta road.
