Campy 8 speed question...
I know this is more bike mechanics related but there are Campy aficionados here that may provide a faster response...
My brother-in-law's Bottechia has a Campy 8-speed cassette and downtube shifters. I'd like to know if Campy 8-speed Ergo shifters would work with the older 8-speed cassette (are the 8-speed Campy cassettes all spaced the same).
If it does work, anyone have a set of old Campy 8-speed Ergos they want to sell?

Should work fine. It did for me. If no one else has the shift levers, the guy that may be able to help you with is Rodd Wagner, owner of Branford Bike in WA. He deals only in Campi equipment and is recognized as a Camipi Pro Shop. He really knows his stuff. Great guy.

Damn. I was going to point you to the Jtek Shiftmate, a set of widgets that let you mix and match Campagnolo and Shimano products at will, until I saw this note on the front page:
Dear Friends,
It is with much sadness and regret that I must shut down Jtek Engineering due to health issues. Two years ago I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and have been fighting it ever since. The disease has progressed to the point where I can no longer work and keep the doors open. If at some point in time my helth returns, I will open the doors again. Thank you for your part in making this self-owned and operated company a success.
Sincerely,
Jay Guthrie
