Westridge Drive, Los Altos Hills

Anyone ride on Westridge Drive? Looks like it may make a nice turn around loop from Portola Rd. back to Alpine Rd. Just wondering what the road is like? Thanks!

It's an excellent route... I've only done it from Alpine to Portola though. Nice little hill!

Westridge is nice if you want a little better workout than just going round the loop (clockwise). The end near the Alpine Inn has a nice steady climb. Westride is narrower than Alpine Road and Westridge has no shoulder, but traffic is light.

Steep, with lots more ups and downs than just heading up Alpine. Windy, with not a lot of car visibility, but then again, not a ton of cars either.

When I ride, I stay with Alpine/Portola. When I drive I take Westridge, to get away from some the small percentage of really unsafe cyclists that tend to swerve at the most inopportune times. Any cyclist on Westridge knows what they are doing, or they end up walking their bikes, it's that challenging.

Westridge is steeper than Alpine Road, but it is not that steep. If you want steep, try the next street over (Golden Oak).

We rode up Alpine to Portola, then took Westridge back to Alpine. Nice ride, sure were a lot more little climbs than I was expecting. No a single car until we were descending back to Alpine.

Just rode it yesterday; It's about a 450ft ascent, with some steep 14% sections if you come from the Alpine side.
