SF Giants Centerfielder is an avid Cyclist

This is a really good article about how Aaron Rowand got "addicted" (his word) to his Pinarello and lost 10 pounds |
He seems like a really cool guy. The Giants just paid too much for him (much like the Zito signing).
|
They should have had a picture of his Pinarello.

Nice. I see Aaron as a sprinter. Bet that dude can push out the watts.

Cool article, always helps legitimize cycling to the masses when a Pro athelete in "traditional" stick and ball sports talks of his appreciation for cycling.

Not to be picky, but nothing is like the Zito signing.

Zito is getting something like $18M in 2010 and Rowand is due $12M. That's ~$30M tied up with two players that had average, at best, seasons in 09. These contracts are also preventing the team from a much needed bat in the middle of the order.

he may be a better cyclist than center fielder at this point....just sayin.
|
It's rare I resurrect an old thread...but...
Things worked ok for the Giants, eh? |
