Alameda Beginner Rider...
I live in Alameda and am looking for some people to ride with. I've heard of Team Alameda and Pac West, but is there anything else on this forum that people recommend?

Welcome dstrkt,
I have ridden with a good twenty riders at different times, that I met through this forum.
There are riders here of every ability and rides form up from regularly at all tempos and difficulties.
Hang around and see what develops. I will bet you find some good rides and even better people.
I am riding out of town this weekend, but I hope to ride with you soon.
I am through the Caldecott tunnel from you over in Contra Costa County, but not far away. See you soon!

While I do not live in Alameda, I have been there a few times. I do know that there is a path that runs along the shoreline, it runs past Sushi House (the reason why I go to Alameda, haha). I see a lot of road cyclists breeze on by along that path. However it seems congested with pedestrians also. Hope this helps...
