Any plans for a 2010 BF Norcal jersey ?

Wondering if there is any plans or interest in 2010 BF Norcal jersies ?
Or is there any way to order some from the previous years ?
This looks really sweet (picture courtesy of powpow).

There hasn't been any plans for one. Do you have any ideas for a design?

Haven't really though of any designs, to be honest. How about going retro and using the oldest Norcal BF design ?
BTW, is there any link that shows all the previous designs ?

This one was kicked around last time, but never got off the ground.

Replying to myself, i've only seen 2 designs so far: the checkered design which is featured in the first post, the Golden Gate bridge design (Henry's design).

I don't know, but I think it was just a generic mountain/road scene. I didn't design it, but I really liked it. It was being tossed around with the white/checkered jersey, and lost in the poll. I saved this pic with the intention of contacting Voler and having it made, but never did.

Damn ennui......

If this gets off the ground, I would suggest going to Voler for the jerseys. They're better made, fit better, and cost about the same as the Champions.

I like Henry's design, but has anybody ridden in a black kit? I feel like that would be a recipe for overheating.

There has been an alternate version of Henry's jersey as well, by Thien.

Perhaps we can also modify Henry's design and instead of the Golden Gate bridge, maybe we can use something else.
Of the top of my head: SF skyline, Lake Tahoe, Mt Diablo, Cable Car, something for Silicon Valley, Something wine/food related, bear, Lighthouse,
Santa Cruz boardwalk etc...

Those dark colors are going to be heat sinks in the summer.

Agreed.

I like the design of the original (Henry) and the alternate (Thien) jerseys but I do not like wearing them on hot days anymore. After a couple hours they have white salty sweat lines all over.

I really like the blue checkered kit I have, but the chamois in the shorts rubs me wrong. I'd get that kit again, but not anything from ChampSys.

I like my NorCal dark blue a lot, but not in the heat. I too am not a big fan of ChampSys bibs. I have a medium and a large. The medium fits, but the straps are really short. The large is OK, but not as tight as I like.
Thing is, they have the best prices I've found. They're jerseys are fine. The have a new summer jersey that's even better.

I don't love the checked jersey, but I'm in a minority. I like the BigBosMan logo, but hate the typeface and I'm not crazy about colors.

Having designed the 50+ forum jersey i can attest that design by committee will make you crazy and then you'll cry. The best thing to do is have someone design it and see if they can get 11 people to commit (that's enough for the minimum order.)

Maybe I'm stepping in it, but as a design teacher I'd love to do this. BBM, would you share your logo and let me mess with it from there?
I'm willing to organize, collect money, order, pack and ship like I did for 50+

Here's the 50+ stuff I did:

Tricia and I at a Time Trial in Contra Costa. Tricia's is sleeveless and she's wearing a base layer under it.

That would be great. The 50+ jersey looks very professional. I think we could definitely use your expertise.

Curtis - type face and color can be easily tweaked, and since you're well versed in graphic design/art I'm more than fine with you having at it. I'm just an engineer - I don't have a creative bone in my body, but I'm pretty good with spatial relationships.

Also - I agree that we have someone (you ) mock one up, maybe ask for some limited input, and then demand an up or down vote. Committee work is a quagmire to be avoided.

IIRC - the final version of the "poppy jersey" just had the names of the three peaks in the logo circle - Diablo, Tamalpias, and Hamilton. I remember much discussion about what to put there, and it quickly got out of hand. I think the three major peaks is a good idea, but am not married to it. I for sure wouldn't want to see it get more complicated than that, though.

If everyone is set on the ChampSys stuff, so be it. I'm pushing Voler because I have several and they fit well and last forever. In addition, Voler bibs are much higher quality than ChampSys. I think they make a much better product and the price is is ok with me @ ~$60/ea for a 11 piece order (S/S jersey). plus, they guarantee a 2-3 week turnaround once the artwork is approved.

Anyway - shoot me a pm with your email address, and I'll send you all the files I have.

The original dark, dark blue and gold (yellow) design had those colors to represent the Cal Bears colors. The bridge design was by Thien and borrowed from him.

I ordered the "alternate" design from Thien as well as I liked it a bit better but crashed that kit in a race. Thien doesn't want to reorder the "alternate" design and he's the artist so that's his right.

The Checkered design lost to the other in the running but no one stepped up to organize the order so I volunteered to do the order of the Checkered design if there were enough takers.

I haven't been unhappy with Champ-Sys but I know many others who have been displeased with their chamois. Voler is fine. Their sizing is Ok (for me at least). Their "upgraded" Trilogy chamois seems a bit big and squishy but I heard their regular chamois is less bulky. My only complaint about Voler's jersey is their pockets are much shallower than Champ-Sys and others. They didn't pose a problem on last Saturday's ride (where I jammed them full of food, etc.) so maybe it's not that big an issue after all.

Curtis, I'd love to see what kind of design you'd come up with.

+1 for Voler.

I like the texture of the material they use for jerseys. Their quality also seems better.

After a quick peek at the prices, it looks like Voler is about $40 MORE a jersey. I like 'em more, but not $40 more. That could bring the price into the $100 range once we add in shipping. Too rich for me.
The new Champ Sys jerseys are really OK. Very breathable. I haven't tried the new kind of bibs.

Anyway, I'll toy with this stuff in my "spare time"

The page I'm looking at is quoting ~$61/ea for short sleeve, if we buy quantity 11-15. So - either I'm looking at the wrong page, or ChampSys jerseys are $20 ea? What am I missing?
