Subject: Los Gatos Creek Trail Closure
Date: Tue, 25 May 2010
West Valley Construction Company has been contracted to replace an aging 12” Water main in the Los Gatos Creek Trail for San Jose Water Company. We have obtained the required permits from Cal-Trans and the Santa Clara Valley Water Agency. I am attempting to notify everyone else involved in the use of the trail. If you know of someone who is not on my contact list. Please provide me with their contact information and I will include them on any future updates.
Trail closure and construction will begin on June 15, 2010. Closure signs will be posted at the gate to the trail on Alma Bridge Road at the top of Leniham Dam. We will also be posting a sign and fencing at the Main Street entrance heading to the south towards the dam. The sign will show an August 2nd completion date. We will make every effort to have the project completed prior to that date and will open the trail sooner if possible.
The trail closure is necessary to ensure public safety during heavy construction activities. Due to the limited width of the trail we cannot provide a safe route for the public to walk or ride thru the construction area.
West Valley Construction and The San Jose Water Company appreciates the understanding of the various agencies and the public for their patience in our continuing effort to upgrade their water supply for the community.
If you have any questions please contact West Valley Construction at 408-371-5510 and ask for either Chris Saul- Division Manager, Jeff Boss- Vice President or Dave Reinhart- Project Manager. You can also contact us by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will also be placing notices in the Los Gatos Times and The Daily News to provide additional information to the general public and businesses.
