DANVILLE — A medical helicopter has been summoned to Mt. Diablo State Park after a bicycle crash, the San Ramon Valley Fire District said.
The state Parks Department has jurisdiction over the crash, which was reported around noon. A fire dispatcher described the incident as a standard medical call that necessitated the helicopter because it was in terrain difficult to access with ground vehicles.
Further details were not immediately available. Check back later for updates to this story.
I'm thinking that means MTB.

We were there today...likely not the same guy we saw but someone had a run in with a mini van around noon. Don't know much other than he seemed ok...not sure if the minivan crossed the yellow or the other way around but help was there. He looked banged up...hopefully all is well.
Unrelated but there were two rattlers smack in the middle of the road this AM near the summit...Mexican standoff with a rattler at 9% isn't too much fun.

I hope the guy has a good insurance those rides are around 20k. It's rare to see them dispatched for cyclists usually it's for motorcyclists beaning themselves in to guardrails.

Speaking of guard rails, hopefully this is for someone on trail and not for someone on road that ended up near trail. Any other news, can't seem to find anything.
