First ride up Hamilton
My trusty doubles partner LanceOldStrong and I let the comfort of Contra Costa and Mt. Diablo to venture into San Jose and try out Mt. Hamilton.
We enjoyed your little hill quite a bit. This ride was just the 20 up the front. It was a wonderful day and the ride wasn't tough at all. The ride down was a blast. Not too steep, and not very technical, with some very nice pavement near the bottom.
Next up: Perhaps a longer effort starting in Livermore and tackling the famed backside.
There are, of course, photos.
I must be the 100,000th person to shoot this mirror, but I couldn't resist.

Could you see The Mountain from the top? The few times I've been up there it's been too foggy to see anything.

I guess it does to me.
I am Irish, note the green eyes in the pic, so I take no chances with the Sun. I may be misinterpreting the semantics of the oft quoted passage above, but sunscreen is cheaper than dermatologist visits.

Meanwhile, I've lived at the foot of it for nearly a year, and haven't made a successful (bicycle) run in that time. I lose, youse win!
I've seen Diablo from Sacramento once, and that's much further away than Hamilton. I'm pretty sure I've seen Diablo from atop Hamilton once or twice.
