Anyone want to ride in the Santa Cruz Mountains?

Im a young and not too fast rider (takes me 2:50 to do the Alpine loop), interested in doing a 70 miler tomorrow (7/27) across 84, down to the coast, then up to page mill and down to Stanford. Don't expect any fast riding, I ran a 10k yesterday and did 40 today =)

It's going to be tough to find people on a weekday. I'd like nothing more than to skip work and ride, but can't always get our way.

What if you went north or south on skyline instead of descending the other side. Parents might be more lenient if they knew you'd stay on this side of the mountains.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I know people tend not to skip work to ride, I only saw two other bikers today. I don't think the problem is going down the other side, more just the absolute distance and time out, since there isn't much cell service in the mountains.
