Yeah, you might as well, since everything shipped after 1/14 seems to be back on a 1 week delivery schedule. Everything up until then appears to be delivery by lottery...

I've used Wiggle many times; just got order placed 13 days ago, longest wait ever for all items in stock and "despached" next day.

Still, not too bad... a tire, two tubes, some paceline, and socks.

Question; my order was shipped 1.6.11 (I confirmed with PBK), do I need to try contacting customs to see if it has been held up? If I do, how do you do this? I have already contacted PBK and they were helpful, I only wish I had sprung for expedited shipping and that my package had a tracking #.

Thanks

I think ProBikeKit should explain on the front page of their site the problems with shipping. Be up front with it, just to reassure customers. All this long shipping time leaves one to wonder and worry what happened to their package a month later. Poor business practice.

Even with ProBikeKit's good prices, I'm wondering if I want to go through this again with them, perhaps pay a bit more somewhere else and have peace of mind.

This isn't PBK's problem. It's security someplace between the UK and US.

And, FWIW; I ordered some tubes and tires that were shipped from PBK on 1/31. I received them 2/7. So, no holdup at all. Maybe because there were no big scary looking metal parts?

Previous order from them was a bunch of tubular tires. Ordered right after Thanksgiving and got them 19 days later.

I got email from PBK. Basically it's US customs screwing things up. All the older shipments are backed up due to some security changes, and new shipments are receiving priority. PBK was being assured that backlog is starting to get cleared. Although it's US bureaucracy so who knows when it will happen.

Yeah, I realize it's not PBK's fault but it would go well to easing their customers worries if they had an explanation on their site. In any case, it's to PBKs credit to clear things up exactly where the problem lies.

Dispatched from PBK 12.31.10, received the package 02.09.11. Just a little bit of a hold up somewhere.

Wiggle posts invoice of items enclosed on outside of package; item list is readable w/o removing said invoice from transparent sleeve.

Does pbk do the same?

Just curious...

By the way, it's "despached."

My stuff finally arrived, safe & sound. The blue wrapper glows in the dark due to all the xrays though.

PBK Received

Exactly one month to the day, the PbK order finally arrived. I'm just glad it wasn't the victim of incompetence or thievery.

It was hard to recognize that PBK was a UK store

I was not aware until after I had ordered that I was ordering from the UK. I since reviewed the PBK site and it was not obvious. Had I realized that I was ordering out of the USA, I would never have made the order. On the plus side, I was pleased that postage was free.

I am hopeful that my parts will arrive soon. Ordered 10/13/2011 and waiting.

Usually, PBK gets stuff here very quickly, so I wouldn't worry yet.

No need to worry, I've waited as much as a month but the stuff came. The delay by the way is not PBK's fault but the mail security. If for some reason the order is lost, PBK will work out something equitable with you.

I ordered a set of tires on October 12th and they arrived on October 17th. I've always gotten my shipments from them in about that same amount of time. Guess I've been lucky.
