Hwy 1 closure

Has anyone tried Hwy 1 at the closure to see if there is away to walk or bicycle through?

I don't know for sure that Hwy 1 is open but my daughter, who goes to school down there, says that the electronic sign that was up earlier in the Seaside area is gone.

Several weeks back the Rapha crew were allowed through: https://www.rapha.cc/stage-5-searching-for-dinosaurs and even at that time they said "Twice daily, pedestrians and cyclists are allowed to pass through the construction zone to continue on their way."

Yes, it is clear 80 or so miles south of Monterey. They created a one way traffic light system. However, there is a more recent land slide that occured a few miles before Cambria, which cuts off access at that point. If you need to get to SLO then you gotta reroute.

This sounds like a stellar opportunity to do some car-free coast riding
