Western Wheelers Sequoia Century Ride Reports

I did the Sequoia Century 100 mile ride last Sunday. Roads were wet, but no rain! Check out my video report. The video shows about 100 riders and volunteers in it.

Clever feed bag! I've got a fancy one that straps on to the bar/stem in the same spot, but haven't put anything messy in it since it's a hassle to clean. I was thinking I could use a ziploc as a liner, but I guess the ziploc is all I need.

Nice tour of the Sequoia Century. Seeing the food at the rest stops reminded me, it's lunch time!! Thanks.

Wow! Great job what a fun ride looks like I'll have to put it on the calender for next year.

Wow, Great food selection. That truck came pretty darn close to the riders at 7:04 in video. that driver should have been reported.

Nice video ... I left my video cam in the car, figuring it might rain, but you did a great job on the video, mine wouldn't even compare.

My ride report is at http://sevencyclist.wordpress.com/20...-spot-of-rain/

Nice video and report, guys! I did the 200k route and was very happy that it didn't rain on us. It was actually fairly warm for much of the day.

Looked like the truck's mirror was about 12" from our heads.

On a long ride, I have lost food when the bottom of the bag broke. Now I add some tape to the bottom seam of the bag. The paper clips can also be used to hold the route map. I used the blue painters tape to protect the finish on the carbon bar/stem from the metal clips.

Great video - I did the 200K route and really enjoy it. I was one of those suckers that put fenders on so that the rest of you could enjoy a rain free ride ;-)

Only gripe was that there wasn't any info about the post ride meal given to me when I picked up my number and route sheet first thing so I missed out. Never mind, next time I'll know.

Haha, I put fenders on, too. I made a joke about it with a guy in AV kit with the same fenders -- was that you?

There was a post-ride meal? You mean the chili and sandwiches?

No, that wasn't me but I too had the same conversation with other fenderers I met on the way.

Yes, I was referring to the post ride chilli/sandwich thing, I had no idea it was happening.
