Dangerous white chevy truck driver in Nicassio
Watch out for a white '95ish Chevy (Silverado?) truck being driven by a deranged woman.
She ran me and my buddy off the road on Lucas Valley road and had the audacity to then stop and argue how her car right of way was violated (we were riding single file).
She probably did the same thing to other cyclists ahead of us on the road.
I took a snap of the truck while she was telling about how she wished she could run us over; and we called it in to 911 but not really sure if anything is going to happen. Couldn't really make out the plate number from the pic other than 5M____8 ?
Anyway, keep your eyes out!

I hope something is done. Did she see you take the picture?
Even if nothing is done I'm glad you reported it if there were other problems something is more likely to be done.

Good for you thinking fast by taking the picture and reporting her. They should throw her ass in jail!

Nobody has the right of way under the CVC. The CVC directs whom has to yield right of way.

I tried some combinations on the DMV website and 5M59338 is not available (someone must have it).

Did you provide this photo to the police/sheriff? They will definitely be able to make a quick ID of the vehicle, her behavior certainly sounds like it's in the range of vehicular assault and terroristic threatening (she threatens and you are genuinely in fear that she will do it) which are both felonies in California

This woman is like the kid who kills and tortures animals, the signs are there in plain sight they'll probably kill people one day. This woman needs to have her license taken away and kept tabs on for the rest of her life before she kills one day.

Thanks for helping look up the license #. I'll report it to the Marin Sheriff's dept tomorrow and offer them the photo too.
I don't know if the driver saw me snap the photo. And I do want to help get her off the road before she hurts someone.
Thanks!

Glad you're okay.
It seems to me that there was a thread about a white pickup truck harassing cyclists a few months back. I don't remember it being a Chevrolet, but I could be wrong. Sound familiar to anyone else?
[edit: Never mind, that was a white Ford F350 Super Duty. ]

I strongly urge you to report this incident to CHP or the Sheriff, whomever will claim jurisdiction. To capture the vehicle(license) and the drivers face in one photo is a rarity, and will go a long way in negating the vehicle owner operator from saying it wasn't them driving or their vehicle. Hopefully, if the elements of a crime are present something positive will happen. At least the driver can be ID'd in the event there are other reports at a later date.
Good job on taking the photo.

With photoshop and sharpening the image I was able to read:
5M54538
not absolutely sure of course.
Can one insert a photo (retouched) directly from the computer?

Not "encouraging" anything, but... sometimes vigilante justice tends to work better on people like this...

Wasn't it a white pickup that hit Tom Lyons?

Nothing new to report unfortunately; the plate # didn't match to the vehicle and the authorities aren't willing to do a plate scan.

Unlike an older Toyota truck.
I had a run-in with a hot headed jerk in a Ford Model A the other day ago en route to Morgan Territory. I can understand both sides of the argument, but c'mon people!

With the fog lights, camper shell and partial plate, you've got enough to get a few people out there watching the road and positively ID the truck to get the rest of the plate.

The authorities (the police) will not release any information from a license plate--the only way as I understand it is through legal means.
A few years ago I ran into a similar problem. Unless injuries occur, nothing will be done by the police!
It is frustrating to say the least--because I would not mind seeing a few of these bastards and cowards off the roads
