Rides from Calistoga?
Hey all - on the weekend of March 24, my family is having a rather large reunion at the Indian Springs Resort or something like that in Calistoga.
Anyone familiar with the location of the resort and the surrounding area? We're going up early Friday morning from the East Bay, and since most people aren't showing up until Saturday, I'd love to get a ride in that afternoon if at all possible.
So, any great rides I could do straight from the door step of our wee cottage?
Road or mountain, either one works for me!

Here's a good site for some napa valley rides https://calistogabikeshop.com/article...rides-pg41.htm I'm a bit north and haven't ridden there yet, but there's tons of options.

Rides near Calistoga
You could head down Silverado Trail(eastside) of Napa Valley to Lake Hennesee area to Pope Valley and up Ink Grade down White Cottage which would put you back into the valley near where you are staying. You'll get level, rolling and a great climb on this route.
Check out the Napa Century routes to get a better mapping of the route. Otherwise a local biker shop in town would be a great start.
Enjoy the pool where you are staying.

Check in with these guys. https://www.eaglecyclingclub.org/
I've enjoyed riding on Silverado Trail, up 128 into Pope Valley etc. Hard to go wrong but stay off Highway 29 unless you are north of Calistoga. Redwood Road to Mt. Veeder Road is a great climb west of Napa city limits. Also consider rides in Sonoma County. You can head north on 29 to the Geyserville area.
