either your helmet padding or your forehead are worn out and should be replaced.

Pretty common. Try a headsweats cap or a bandana underneath your helmet. Cycling cap will likely replace helmet marks with cycling cap marks.

It's a piece of equipment designed to offer a degree of protection to a head during an impact. Usually initial, but now there are some that are designed for multiple impacts. It usually combines a hard outer shell, with impact absorbing material underneath, with padding under that, and a chin retention system.

Helmet marks? Who cares...how about the Levi Leipheimer style grill marks that I can't get rid of!? I'm not bald, but I have 3 tan marks on my forehead where the vents in my helmet are. I wear a 50spf sunscreen, but I still get the tan marks.
