In light of recent events
In light of recent events, I have decided to start a new charity called "LiveScott".
I am available for motivational speaking, posing for photos with attractive people of any age or gender, and product endorsement, in exchange for donations to my charity. Don't have a Mission Statement yet but whatever I don't skim off the top will go to righteous causes... you can trust me.

Dear Michelob Ultra:
I understand you're looking for a new spokesperson (yuk yuk).
I submit myself for your consideration.
If selected however, I shall have to insist that you make your beverage taste more like Anchor Steam.
Regards,
DiabloScott
LiveScott Foundation.

You need to sell little rubber bracelets. Sell a million of them for $1 apiece and you're a millionaire, or at least your foundation is. And being a foundation, don't forget that it's a good way to avoid income taxes! You can make contributions from your real employment income to reduce it, and then have the foundation pay some of your living expenses in doing your good works.

I like how you think outside of the box. Wanna be my merchandising manager?
I was hoping this position would negate the need for any "real employment".

Great idea DiabloScott. If you need some help I can show you how you can justify using 90% of the donations in management and promotional costs. That stills leaves a whopping 10% directed to the charity of your choice; who will complain, it will be so generous. This type of financial arrangement should help the LiveScott brand reach a status allowing it the rights to levy a 'just do it' voluntary donation from each cyclist entering Mt. Diablo State Park. Think how much that would raise when the ToC comes back to the mountain next May.
Man, you are onto something big!

Perhaps I could have a regularly produced e-mail newsletter informing supporters of upcoming events! I could even hire a consultant to figure out how to make it look personalized... with your name and stuff right there in the text.

You need to write a book too. I suggest "It's not about the Blog" where you revel your triumph over the keyboard-caused RSI you suffered while you were giving your soul to your public through periodic blog posts, all while "owning" your own mountain that you generously share with the world.

I've noticed that the most successful charitable foundations leverage guilt and sympathy to maximize donations. Not having had any personal hardships to speak of myself, I'm going to need lots of photos of really pathetic people with big sad eyes and just enough of a smile to indicate hope might be possible if more donations come in. Unfortunately, none of those people live in areas I'm interested in travelling to; so I'll settle for stock or creative commons.

You'll need "protection", of course. It would be a shame if a fire or some other tragic event wiped out all your hard work.......

You're out of the Foundation. There's a car outside that will take you to the airport. I'll call your wife and tell her what flight you're on.

OK.... I'll let Uncle Bambi know, and also pass it along to Rocco and Vinny. You're usually home at night, right? Just in case they wanna have a chat.
