Christmas Spirit and sage words from a Norcal Pick Up Truck Driver

Today I was at a light waiting to turn left on Concord Blvd. from Ayers Road.
I was waiting for my left turn arrow. front wheel at the limit line, first in line.

A pick up truck made a slow safe left turn from Concord Blvd to Ayers Road, so he had to go right in front of me as he traversed the intersection performing his turn.

A Very Crude Sketch (yellow Camaro where there should be a pick up truck)

He slowed and put down his window and with a smile on his face and a gentle tone he said,
"You should get out of the street"
Then he put up his window and completed his turn.

He didn't honk, swerve towards me, curse, make a rude gesture or throw anything at me.

It must be the Christmas Spirit, even the pick up truck commentators are being nice.

I almost got run off Highway One near Point Arena about 20 years ago by a tourist more intent on watching the ocean than the road. I yelled at her and she rolled down the window and helpfully explained that "you'd be safer if were walking your bike".

Dan, I think this is the moral equivalent of writing a letter saying: "Dear Mr. So-and-So: Please perform an anatomically impossible act on yourself at your earliest convenience. Very truly yours, Roger Kaputnik"

(Extra points and an admission of advancing decreptitude for knowing where the name "Roger Kaputnik" comes from.)

More polite than the old lady that tried to kill me with her car by passing, pulling right, and slamming on her brakes to a full stop. That bumper looked delicious, I almost got a taste. When she realized she didn't get me she got out of her car to tell me she paid taxes. Then 15 minutes later I got pulled over by cop who said the lady filed a police report claiming I'd harassed her. Then he told me he didn't want to see me riding in the road again. Guess I was supposed to fly home.

Actually, I think your guy was worse.
