I'm riding from Santa Clara to the SF Financial District (I start around 5), anyone has some must-visit station suggestions?

That's a sweet, long ride! Are you sticking to the flats or are you going to commute up 35?

A great beauty of it in the early morning is a lack of motor traffic -- so I go straight up Central Expy ->PA (Bryant or Park) -> Middlefield -> Old Cty Rd -> California -> SFO -> Gateway -> Tunnel Rd -> 3rd into SF... similar to the SF2G Bayway in parts I suppose. The only real hill is the short bump up Bayshore Blvd onto 3rd.

I can't believe I forgot to post this.
Every year my graphics students make Bike to Work Day posters, We litter my college with them.
Here's a Flickr slideshow of the best few

Those are great fun -- perhaps next year it would be worthwhile to also post them as JPGs (and links?) to the various Bike Coalition Facebook pages -- could become a tradition to see them in the build-up to btwd.

Yes, I did. Had planned to take a longer route home with messenger bag (about 20 lbs.) just for grins, but this feeling of rhinitis began setting in while I was in my office. I rode a long way home to no avail. Some virus is taking me over. Bleah.

At least I honored the day, as I have since 2007, when it became a "thing" (previously it was a lifestyle).
