SFO to Santa Rosa for Levi's GF
Just wanted to get input from NorCal riders.
Will be flying into SFO next Friday and will need transportation to Santa Rosa. Any recommendations? Is there any bus or shuttle services worth looking into? Thanks.
My bike will be transported by car but I will have to fly up due to time constraints with work.

My buddy flew in from San Diego last year to ride it and he used this (said it was hassle free). This year he's flying right into Santa Rosa on Alaskan Airlines (from San Diego).

Yeah, that's the only non-charter shuttle - it's still close to 3 hours though, plus waiting.
Wow, when did Santa Rosa get commercial flights?

Yeah, he did say it was pretty slow. It was also something like $70/round trip. Far cheaper though any charter service as Santa Rosa is way too far for the Super Shuttle or other 'short range' service.
Dunno about commercial flights, I suspect it's a "puddle jumper" like plane. The flight connects through LAX and with his layover I think he said it's like 11 hours of transit time. I've done Sacramento to San Diego in sub 10 (with stops) while driving through the night, I'm sure it's faster to drive to Santa Rosa from San Diego at that point.

Looks like airport express is the way to go. Will only need one way since I will be riding back down with them. Thanks all for the feedback. Looking forward to this event.

Just to add one thing... for those that have done the event have any of you picked up your registration/packet stuff the day of the event? Is it that bad as they say to pick up on Friday?
I ask because I many not make it to the Finley center by the 10pm close for that day. So i'm looking to pick up at 6am the day of the ride. Thanks again.

Idealistic Troublemaker
Golden Gate Transit busses run from SF downtown to Santa Rosa and have enclosed bike racks (for only two bikes). I take that route all the time. No service on weekends however. So Bart from SFO to the financial district, then swap to the ~$10 bus... will be about 3 hours total I would guess.
