Stoneridge Drive Extension Open

Another option between Pleasanton & Livermore, very nice. Bike 'lane' on Livermore side is fairly narrow headed toward Isabel but there's the Arroyo Mocho trail on the south side that starts at the bridge; sweet ride. Lots of options now, including a new bike lane over Isabel/580 on the way to Collier Canyon Rd.> Highland > Camino Tassajara > Danville.

I love that stone ridge is open, i would rather ride the trail down jack london though, road is too narrow with fast speeds. Once that get the bike trail and road done on isabel, it will be really nice through there.

I agree, it should have been done 10 years ago. It really opens up the riding options in the east Tri Valley. Lower Isabel, from Jack London north, is essentially done. South from that intersection, I think that's a 2014-5 completion date.

Apparently, they created a right of way for Arroyo Mocho to go from the airport on JL up to Stanley (and areas north) as a protected trail, but I haven't ridden it between Jack London & Stanley. I passed the entrance, it looked inviting. In the old days it was dirt road, don't know if it's 100% paved now, and Google Maps is way out of date. If that section is road bike friendly it means you can ride from the vineyards on Mines Road to the airport on a quiet trail, mostly along the creek, sorta like the Iron Horse. Something to check out.
