If you go to the top of Mt. Diablo with the public astronomy night, you should be able to see it.

Particularly if the fog is down below.

These public nights start in March: check: http://www.mdas.net/

There will be a calendar of events!

Or for sure you will see it if you go to Yosemite or anywhere where it is dark and clear sky!
