Well that was a weekend... I don't think it stopped raining from about 9AM on Friday. Nothing ever very heavy but it just would not stop! Still got two rides in, nothing memorable on Friday, but Saturday I rode up to Mt. Diablo junction via SG. Lots of rockfall, actually saw a beach ball sized boulder crash onto the side of the road. Pretty scary actually. Did it on the singlespeed, man I'm not in shape to climb on that thing! Busted a spoke on the way down, had to call the GF to rescue my sorry (wet) butt!

I find riding in these warm rains to actually be kind of fun. It's never very cold and the streets are mostly deserted. A few other hardy souls were either going up or going down Diablo. We all acknowledged one another, probably a nod to hardening up! I'm ready for a dry weekend though, now...

It's the hardman shoutout - no words necessary.

I gave up at Junction too. I didn't see anyone else on NGR until I was on my way back down. Lots of the road seems to have sunk, lots of trees are very close to toppling. Also - FIRST POPPIES OF SPRING!
